Port of Vale de Cavaleiros

The Port of Vale de Cavaleiros is located on the Island of Fogo, an island characterized by its high altitudes. It is where the only active volcano of the archipelago and the highest mountain is found. Its territory has 476 km2 and the number of inhabitants is 37,409.

Rebuilt in 2013, the port currently has two piers perpendicular to each other, one with 70 and the other with 95 meters, and both with 5 meters of depth.

The works also included the construction of a fishing pier and an embankment with 2.5 hectares of area, which includes a park of containers, circulation areas and a warehouse with total covered area of 500m2. For the comfort of the passengers of cabotage, a modern marine station was constructed.
